NYE

Can't believe it's here. Time to get all dolled up & go celebrate the new year! This past year has been amazing. We added a new member to our family.. my sister in law. Along with our little boy (our puppy), Oakley. We got engaged & married. & we also made alot of tough decisions that will happen in 2011. Which really is the main reason I am so excited for the new year. All the things we have been thinking & deciding over will happen starting tomorrow 01.01.2011. I think to start the new year. I am going to hit the stores with a little extra cash & gift cards we've been holding onto. That will definitely start the new year off right.

In 2011, we do not have resolutions. We have goals. Here are some:
1. Buy a house
2. Get into the our careers
3. Become debt free
4. Create a savings
5. Not have a baby, but instead enjoy each other & our life together.

Here is a look back on our 2010

My Career.

Sitting here at my desk after a long day just counting down the mins just makes me think.... where is my next career move? We are thinking about moving within the next couple of months. And it's really made me start to think..... Is this the time to actually start what I want to do? Am I ready? Do I know enough? My husband wants me to start my own company planning events. Which is what I ultimately want to do but I feel so unprepared. I feel as if I need a year or two to study up & get to know the business more & learn the area. On the other hand I could just jump in with both feet & just put my ideas to use. That's how I've always done things in the past. So the question still remains unanswered.... what to do. Hmm.

Almost two months into It.

So it's been almost two months since the big day. & I feel absolutely the same as when we were dating. Other than the fact that we say married, husband & wife, or Rachel Mathia. Everything is the same. Shouldn't something change other than my name? Ha ha. Maybe it's good nothings changed? I keep waiting for the day it finally hits me that we actually, finally got married. I highly doubt that I am ever going to get used to being married and called Matt my husband. But it's fun. He still calls me his girlfriend at times. Ha! Not even fiancĂ© but girlfriend. Okay, anyways just the thought for the day. Have a gorgeous day. It's all rain here in the big city of Tulsa, OK. Also, a little cold & windy. Perfect for a nap.

Family

As I think about the possibility of moving I get a little knot in my stomach. Not because I will be in a new place with only knowing my husband but because I will be without my family. Within the last couple of year, my family has grown extremely close. I would actually say my brothers are two of my best friends. Can I live with being 10 hours away? Will it make us closer or will in just bring us all apart? Distance makes the heart grow founder right?...
During the Thanksgiving prayer, at my brothers, my whole family learned that my sister in law is pregnant with my first niece or nephew. After hearing that news it makes it even harder to look at new jobs & apartments/houses a whole 10 hours away. I never dreamed I would have even been in Tulsa this long. I guess we'll all just have to wait & see where live will take us..

To be continued......

Mrs. Mathia

So I've been MIA for awhile & I'm coming back as Rachel Mathia. Man... that's weird. So the wedding went perfect. I couldn't imagine anything more perfect. We even had a homeless guy sing us a song & play his gutair during the ceremony.

The day after the wedding... no what am I thinking... the crack of dawn after the wedding was "Trash the Dress." It was the funnest thing we could have done. I recommend that everyone do this after their wedding & in some creative way. We went to La Jolla Cove. It was gorgeous. There were swimmers going in & out of the water all morning which is crazy be the water was FREEZING.

After, the weekend was over our family headed back to good Ol' Oklahoma & we stayed in San Diego for a couple of days. The hotel was amazing & the weather was perfect. We went to the SD Zoo, went to a couple wineries, & just relaxed.
Now that the wedding & the holidays are basically over we are working on our goals. We are very goal orientated so that is whats next on our plate. We actually have something up our sleeves to come in early February...... I'll give you a hint. Snow.
